Method and limits
The same birth details return the same placements. The positions are calculated, while their astrological meaning remains a reflective tradition rather than established scientific prediction.

The calculator uses the birthplace timezone. If a clock time happened twice, you choose the correct occurrence; if it never happened because the clocks changed, the tool asks you to correct it instead of silently shifting it.

Deterministic astronomy locates the Sun and Moon for the resolved instant, then maps each position to one of twelve equal 30° signs. The result comes from the displayed calculation rather than a remote interpretation service.

Rising is calculated from the eastern horizon at the birthplace. Because it can change quickly, the tool shows it only when an exact birth time and coordinates are available.

Without a birth time, the calculator checks the whole local date, lists every possible Sun and Moon sign, and clearly marks Rising unavailable rather than inventing it.
