Method and limits
The calculator uses the local birth time and the sky positions at that moment. Astrological meanings are presented separately from the calculation.

The calculator uses the birthplace timezone. If a clock time happened twice, you choose the correct occurrence; if it never happened because the clocks changed, the tool asks you to correct it instead of silently shifting it.

Deterministic astronomy locates the Sun and Moon for the resolved instant, then maps each position to one of twelve equal 30° signs. The result comes from the displayed calculation rather than a remote interpretation service.

Rising is calculated from the eastern horizon at the birthplace. Because it can change quickly, the tool shows it only when an exact birth time and coordinates are available. At coordinates and times where the Ascendant is not uniquely defined, it remains unavailable.

Without a birth time, the calculator checks the whole local date, lists every possible Sun and Moon sign, and clearly marks Rising unavailable rather than inventing it. A clock-change date may contain more or fewer than 24 hours.
Sun and Moon use deterministic astronomical software. Rising uses a geometric horizon method that was compared with independent reference cases before it was made available. Reference cases check specific examples; they do not certify equal accuracy for every historical date.
