Explore the sky at any date
Calculate zodiac positions, apparent motion and major aspects for a chosen date and time, without a birth chart or account.
Explore a specific moment rather than relying on a prepared daily snapshot. The table shows the ten principal bodies and the osculating lunar node, with their calculated longitudes and apparent direction of motion.
No name, email or account is needed. Your details stay on your device. Use the clear button to remove entered details and results.
How to use this tool
Enter the date, clock time and time zone for the moment you want to inspect. No birthplace is needed for the geocentric positions. To see where a body sits above your own horizon, use the local-sky tool and provide observer coordinates there.
How to read the result
A longitude is a position on the reference zodiac circle. Apparent retrograde motion is a change in the observer’s view, not the planet reversing its orbit. Aspect rows identify angular separations; their traditional meanings are separate from the calculation.
Method and limits
The supported period is 1900–2099. Small numeric changes near a sign boundary or station should be read with the engine’s finite accuracy in mind. This tool does not include every asteroid or object available in specialized ephemeris software.
The calculation uses Astronomy Engine 2.1.19 and, where applicable, the project’s offline time-scale and house geometry modules. Mathematical positions and traditional interpretation remain separate.Read the full methodology.
